Yet Jess Varley, at only the age of 14 is already well on her way to making these dreams a reality. Jess competes in Modern Pentathlon, a competition which tests both her physical and mental attributes. American Hot Rods Assemble at Ashton

On Saturday 2nd May, the Chequered Skipper country pub and restaurant in the village of Ashton, Northamptonshire played host to a gathering of American Hot Rod enthusiasts and owners. Car lovers from all over Northamptonshire flocked to the picturesque village for an afternoon of good food and drink, and to admire the amazing collection of automobiles lined up outside the pub.

New Wicket for Oundle Town

Oundle Town Cricket is enjoying an important new development, with a new cricket wicket. After a lengthy process involving endless hard work and dedication from the Club committee, a generous sum was granted to them by the East Northants Council. The funding came as a result of an application to the Money4Youth scheme to which club member Mark Hodgson, 16, applied. The outcome of this generous donation is the recent installation of a full size artificial cricket wicket on the Oundle Middle School playing fields.
