The newest shop in Oundle was finally unveiled at the end of August. Comperio Interiors, owned by Lorraine Hedges, has been trading for four years and is currently based in Polebrook. Their new premises at Number One, Market Place serve as a showroom for their designs, and is all sparkling fixtures and smooth countertops.

They offer kitchen, bedroom, home office and bathroom design and installation services. Over the course of several appointments each client can draw up their dream room. Their website features the motto “guidance through the impossible” and they aim to simplify a daunting prospect as much as possible. Their design service is completely free and includes a “virtual reality” 3D image of what the room will look like. They have a full installation service and over 90% of their products come from UK based manufacturers.

Number One, Market Place, Oundle has had its fair share of history. Since it opened as Comperio Interiors, several of the past owners have been in to view it in its newest reincarnation. One visitor had worked at the shop during the war when it served as a department store for Oundle, pointing out the space where the hard-to-obtain nylon stockings were kept.

The new owners are enthusiastic about the future of the studio. With people currently preferring to renovate than build, Comperio’s services are in much demand. Anyone thinking of doing up a home, should definitely pay a visit to the spotless design studio in town.
