Ugg Boots March on Oundle

by Staff Writer, December 1, 2007

The long-lasting craze of ugg boots has come to Oundle and they are available to buy at R.C. Cotton and Son, located off the Market Place. Sold in either caramel or black, the woolly boots will keep your feet warm throughout the chilly season.

Rumour has it that “ugg” is short for “ugly” – so. However, these boots have been transformed from unfeminine footwear into a fashionable, hip and trendy shoe fetish. Over the years they have also become a major hit with celebrities and trendsetters alike. Sienna Miller, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson and several other celebrities are acknowledged fans of ugg boots.

Ugg boots are designed by the company Love From Australia and are made from real sheeps wool – perfect for the cold winter season. They look fantastic tucked into tight-legged jeans or with short skirts paired with opaque tights or bare legs. For men, ugg boots work great with jeans, and give a very casual or rugged look, depending on the jeans or the shirt worn.

However, fashion and warmth does come at a price. The short type, stopping just above the ankle, is available at £125 and the longer ones cost £165. But they do last a long time and keep your feet warm in the cold. They make a perfect present to put under the Christmas tree.
