The long-lasting craze of ugg boots has come to Oundle and they are available to buy at R.C. Cotton and Son, located off the Market Place. Sold in either caramel or black, the woolly boots will keep your feet warm throughout the chilly season.
Rumour has it that “ugg” is short for “ugly” – so. However, these boots have been transformed from unfeminine footwear into a fashionable, hip and trendy shoe fetish. Over the years they have also become a major hit with celebrities and trendsetters alike. Sienna Miller, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson and several other celebrities are acknowledged fans of ugg boots.

The body of Thomasz Adamczyk was found at Lutton Farm, Lutton, near Oundle, on 23rd September. Thomasz, a 22-year-old Polish fruit picker, lived in Stone Lane, Millfield, Peterborough. He is believed to have been at a party in the accommodation area of the farm on Saturday night.
A murder hunt was launched right after the body was discovered at 2.15 that morning. Continued…

Many people believe that most waste and pollution is generated by large industrial cities, but they are not the only contributors; waste in rural towns like Oundle also needs to be restricted in order to combat pollution. Schemes to reduce plastic waste in both cities and towns have been considered. A complete ban on plastic bags in London is to go before the Commons in the near future, and in Modbury, a small town in Devon, a complete ban in the forty-three shops has already been imposed, showing that the tide is turning on the plastic bag.
We visited Coleman’s, Oundle News, Stu Pots, Trendell’s, Norman’s and Tesco to see how Oundle shapes up in the fight against rubbish. The results show a town where needless waste is still occurring, when it could, and should, be easily curtailed.

Despite the responsibility and professionalism shown by members the Oundle Rifle and Pistol Club, and in all shooting clubs across the country, shooting ranges are becoming more and more of a Health & Safety nightmare. In a world where police cannot be trusted to save drowning children without “training,” how can an eight-year old be trusted with a lethal weapon, amongst many other people? If shooting were not such an established sport and so far-rooted into the fundamentals of British culture, would it exist at all in the wake of safety concerns?
